In Chhattisgarh’s Durg, two bullion traders stole gold worth Rs 50 lakh from their friend. This gold was kept in the scooter. When the accused got wind of this, they crossed the scooter. When the police received a complaint about this matter, they registered a case and traced the accused. Police arrested two accused and seized 9 gold biscuits worth 750 grams from their possession.

Durg SP Jitendra Shukla said that Vaishali Nagar resident Sagar Himmat Jare had lodged a complaint at Supela police station on July 25 that his scooter had been stolen. Gold worth Rs 50 lakh was kept in the trunk of the scooty. After receiving this complaint, the police investigated the matter and found out the truth.

The victim told the police that he works in smelting gold at JBR Refinery located in Durg. On July 25, he took gold from his shop, kept it in the trunk of his scooter and left at 9 pm. After this he parked the scooter in front of Ansari Biryani shop located in Supela Market. When he came out from there after having food, he saw that Scooty was missing.

The SP instructed the Crime Branch and Supela police team to take action in this matter. The police inspected the incident site and examined the CCTV footage installed on the roads. It was found in CCTV that two people had reached the spot riding a bike. They were wearing raincoats. Both of them stole the scooter.

During the investigation, the police came to know that the incident was carried out by 45-year-old Naresh Soni and 38-year-old Anand Soni. Police arrested one accused, but the other accused had gone to Sehore in Madhya Pradesh to perform Rudrabhishek after the incident. As soon as he returned, the police arrested him too.

SP said that a scooter was stolen at 9 pm on July 25 in Supela police station area, in whose complaint the victim had said that about seven hundred and fifty grams of gold was kept in the scooter. After the complaint, the police investigated and arrested two accused. 750 grams of gold, which was worth Rs 49 to 50 lakh, has been seized from them.
