The news of enmity between Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister CM Keshav Prasad Maurya remains in the headlines. But on Sunday, such a statement of KP Maurya regarding CM Yogi came out, after listening to which it can be said that now the rift between the government and the organization has calmed down. Actually, by-election is to be held on Majhwan assembly seat of Mirzapur. In this connection, Keshav Prasad Maurya was addressing BJP workers here on Sunday.

In his address, Keshav Prasad Maurya praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Enumerating the achievements of the central and state governments, he said, ‘There is a BJP government in the country as well as in the state. You also know and believe that our double engine government is doing the best work in the history of independent India. Is there any other leader like PM Modi in the world… and is there any other Chief Minister like Yogi Adityanath in the country? The most powerful and influential leader in the world is our PM Modi and when all the Chief Ministers in the country are compared, the best work is being done under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath.

In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections 2024, BJP was reduced to half the seats in Uttar Pradesh as compared to 2014 and 2019. After this, there was a rift between the state BJP government and the party organization over fixing the responsibility for the defeat. In the UP BJP executive meeting held in Lucknow, Keshav Prasad Maurya had said in front of BJP national president JP Nadda that the organization is bigger than the government. In a way, this was considered a target on CM Yogi. After this, many BJP MLAs and ministers had complained that party workers were being neglected at the government level, due to which there was resentment among them.

But BJP made it clear that the 2027 assembly elections will be fought under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath. Also, Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brijesh Pathak were advised to avoid making anti-government statements and remain united.
