The world’s richest families in 2024: Walmart’s Walton family ranks first with a fortune of $432.4 billion, even surpassing the personal net worth of the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, and the royal family of the Middle East. The Ambani family and Shapoorji Pallonji family from India ranked 8th and 23rd respectively.

It is worth noting that the Walton family has re-ranked No. 1 in the Bloomberg Richest Families Index thanks to Walmart’s share price. As of December 10, Walmart’s share price has risen 80% this year, and the family’s total wealth has increased by $172.7 billion. The publication calculated the daily wealth gain to be approximately $473.2 million, or $328,577 per minute.

The report shows that the total wealth of the world’s billionaires reaches US$406.5 billion.
