Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar announced assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana. He said that voting for 90 seats in Jammu and Kashmir will be held on September 18, September 25 and October 1, while in Haryana, voting will be held in a single phase on October 1. Counting of votes for both the assemblies will be done on October 4.

During this, Rajiv Kumar, citing a popular meme circulated during the Lok Sabha elections, said that the three gentlemen are back again. In this meme he was called the “missing gentleman”. Rajiv Kumar also read a poetry during the press conference.
