The situation in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is more volatile than before, and sectarian violence has killed 18 people

Peshawar: Pakistan’s restive northwest province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become even more chaotic. At least 18 people have died here in the past 24 hours due to sectarian violence. Another 30 people were injured. Giving the information, Pakistani police said violence broke out between the Alizai and Bagan tribes after an attack on a passenger bus in Kurram district on the border with Afghanistan on Thursday.

It is understood that the bus attack has killed 47 people. Balishkhel, Khar Kali, Kunj Alizai and Maqbal are also firing. People in tribal communities target each other with automatic weapons. So far, the violence has resulted in 18 deaths and 30 injuries. Media reports said the violence left more than 30 people dead.

Houses and shops were set on fire

During the violence, anarchists set fire to many houses and shops and committed horrific acts of vandalism. Since then, people from all villages have moved to safe places. Mohammad Hayat Hassan, chairman of the Private Education Network, confirmed that all educational institutions in the region were closed on Saturday in view of the deteriorating situation. On Thursday, more than 50 vehicles were shot at in Bagan, Manduli and Orchart. Police officials said the accident killed 47 people, including women and children. He said most of the dead were from the Shiite community. (language)
