Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel rescued an 8-year-old girl from her kidnappers in Buxar district of Bihar. The girl was abducted from Delhi a few days ago. The defendant was taking the girl on a train. But he was arrested on Wednesday.

The girl was rescued from a Delhi-Malda town train at Laguna Tepur railway station on Tuesday and the accused kidnappers were arrested, a RPF official told PTI. The accused is a resident of Samastipur district in Bihar.

Further commenting on the matter, RPF Inspector Deepak Kumar of Buxar said that the girl was abducted from the Fatehpur Beli police station area in Delhi a few days ago. Delhi Police and other senior officials informed that the girl was being taken to a city in Bihar on the Indore-Patna Express.

According to Inspector Deepak, based on the same information, his team immediately laid a trap at Dildar Nagar station and searched the train. But the girl and the accused were not found there. After this, RPF once again got the latest information that the accused was traveling with the girl on the train from Delhi to Malda town.

According to him, after receiving this information, the RPF team searched the train at Laguna Tepur railway station and found the girl. The accused was arrested.

Following this, a Delhi Police team reached Buxar on Tuesday evening. RPF Inspector Deepak said he handed over the victim and the accused to the Delhi Police team after completing all formalities. During preliminary interrogation, the accused revealed that he planned to sell the girls in exchange for money.
