Aaj Tak’s political platform is set up in Srinagar amidst the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. All the prominent leaders of the state are participating in this platform of ‘Panchayat Aaj Tak’. In this series, BJP’s state president Ravindra Raina participated in the session organized on ‘Who has what power’.

During this time Ravindra Raina answered all the questions. He said that BJP has a strong organization in the whole of Jammu and Kashmir. BJP will win in Jammu as well as in Kashmir.

Ravindra Raina said, ‘BJP will win in Jammu as well as Kashmir. BJP is winning the Karna seat, Gurez seat, there is a tough fight in Habbakdal and Anantnag West seats. Due to the work done in the last 10 years under the leadership of Honorable PM Modi, the popularity of BJP has increased tremendously in both Jammu and Kashmir.’

Jammu has seen a lot of development in the last 10 years

Ravindra Raina said, ‘The work done by the Modi government in the last 10 years in Jammu and Kashmir. The way Amit Shah handled the law and order. Otherwise, there would have been a calendar of strikes, the noise of guns, grenades and rifles. Firing would have taken place on the borders. Today, this is Jammu and Kashmir, there is peace, brotherhood, prosperity, development. There is development in every village. Today, you see the celebrations at Lal Chowk on 31 December as if it is Singapore or Goa. The peace and tranquility in the entire Kashmir today is the gift of the Honorable Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. The rulers here, who ruled here for decades, failed because the aspirations of the people were not fulfilled, that is why there were riots here.’

Attack on the opposition

The opposition is alleging that the BJP is giving money or helping independent candidates to contest in the valley. Responding to this, Raina said, ‘Many independent candidates are contesting elections in Jammu as well. Yes, those political groups whose ground is slipping, whose throne is being shaken, they feel that political games are being played. But the politicians here, who were in the government earlier, National Conference, Congress, PDP, are seeing their ground slipping, so they see independents.’
