Let us tell you that a businessman living next to Gadganj police station in Raebareli district runs a shop named ‘Chaurasia Grahak Seva Kendra’ at Jalalpur Dhahi intersection. At around 8:00 pm, he was closing his shop and going towards home, when some robbers robbed him on the way. The miscreants also looted his car. Somehow the shop owner Ravi Chaurasia reached the intersection and informed the police about it. After this, the police started investigating the whole matter.
But this matter took a different turn when on the third day Gaurav alias Deepu reached the police station with his village head and a bag full of Rs 7 lakh. The business leaders who had come with him talked to the police station chief and he took the money in custody and sent Deepu to jail.
When the traders created a ruckus, the investigation started
When the business leaders created a ruckus at the intersection regarding this incident, the SHO of the nearby police station Dalmau started the investigation of the entire incident again. In which he in a way rejected the investigation of the Gadganj police station in-charge and acquitted the accused youth Deepu. But in all this, Deepu remained in jail for more than a week.
When the case escalated after the investigation report of Dalmau police station in-charge, the district police advocated and submitted the report in the court, due to which Deepu was released from jail on August 7. But by then this case had taken a new turn in the politics of Uttar Pradesh and everyone from Priyanka Gandhi to Akhilesh Yadav targeted the police and the government.
What did the victim say?
To get to the bottom of this whole matter, the team of ‘Aaj Tak’ also reached Gadganj police station, where it too had to face many questions and answers to many are still awaited. The victim Deepu said that on August 20, when I was going to fetch water, I found a bag lying on the way. At that time there were four-five of us. Me, my brother, Saurabh, Rahul, Mukul and Rajat etc. We went to the Pradhan ji with the bag, then through him we deposited the bag in the police station.
According to Deepu- We found the bag on 20th August and took it to the police station on 23rd August. Out of fear, we kept the bag with us for three days. But the police interrogated us and made us sit in the police station. Kept us in the police station for two days. They released the rest of the people but after the paperwork, sent me alone to jail. Now I have been released after investigation. Thanks to all the people who helped me get out of jail.
On the other hand, Ravi Shankar Chaurasia (who was robbed) said that that day we were going home after closing the shop. As soon as we reached the turn, two unknown people wearing masks were standing there. They stopped my bike and started fighting. They started snatching my bag. Finally, they snatched the bag and ran away with the car. After this, I called 112. Three days after this incident, I came to know that my money has been found. In this regard, Gadganj SO called me to the police station.
Deepu was shown to us at the police station at night and we were asked if he was the same person who had committed the robbery. But I could not identify him. After this the police returned my money. But there was 1 lakh less in it. The looted goods were worth 8 lakhs. The bike has also not been found yet. Later we came to know that Deepu was sent to jail.
On the other hand, ASP Sanjeev Sinha said that a case was registered on 20 August. Three days after the incident, Deepu handed over the bag full of money to the police. Therefore, the case seemed suspicious. Action was taken against him on the basis of initial facts. But after investigation, he was released.
No action will be taken against any innocent: Police
Raebareli police informed through social media that a case was registered on the complaint of the plaintiff in the case. Immediately after the incident, Deepu did not give any information to the police regarding the bag, in which his role was found suspicious. In such a situation, further action was taken on the basis of facts. The newly appointed investigator conducted the investigation by including other facts and circumstantial evidence and their involvement was not found, due to which the police has released them. At present, the investigation is underway. No culprit will be spared and no action will be taken against any innocent.
These questions are arising

The second question is that why was the investigator in such a hurry that when the looted bike and the robbers could not be traced, why was Deepu given a clean chit in a hurry. And why was he sent to jail before this. Why did the previous investigator release the other five people who were picked up along with Deepu? Why was only Deepu sent to jail?
