Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s uncle Chain Singh Chauhan passed away in the capital Bhopal. 82-year-old Chain Singh Chauhan, who was unwell for some time, breathed his last in a private hospital on Wednesday. In this hour of grief, Shivraj Singh Chauhan has shared an emotional post on social media.

Regarding the death of his uncle, Shivraj Singh Chauhan wrote on ‘X’, “My dear uncle Shri Chain Singh Chauhan ji, with whom I studied from fifth to eleventh standard in Bhopal, whose blessings were my inspiration in public life, who always showered love on me, has left us today and gone on an eternal journey. He was my strength, emotional support, inspiration. Today that companionship is gone, the support is gone, the heart is empty. I bow at the feet of respected uncle!”

Chain Singh Chauhan was the father of former Bhopal Municipal Corporation Chairman Surjeet Singh Chauhan. Originally a resident of Sehore district, Chain Singh lived with his family in Kunjan Nagar, Bhopal. His last rites will be performed today at 4 pm in his native village Jait in Sehore district.
