In Sahibganj district of Jharkhand, a minor rape victim committed suicide by hanging herself. On receiving the information, the police took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem. On the complaint of the family, the police have registered an FIR against the accused and his family members and are searching for the accused. Police say that the matter is being investigated.
Actually, the case is from Radha Nagar police station area. On August 15, neighbor Shahid Anwar alias Maxi raped a 15-year-old minor living here by threatening to kill her. When the minor’s family and villagers came to know about the incident, a panchayat was held on the evening of August 18. In this, the accused accepted his crime.

Panchayat imposed a fine of 1 lakh 35 thousand rupees
After this, the Panchayat imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh 35 thousand on the accused, which the victim’s family refused to accept. On the other hand, the teenager, hurt by the rape incident, committed suicide by hanging herself late on Sunday night. The accused’s family is absconding since the incident that took place after the Panchayat. The police is conducting raids in search of the accused.
The victim’s mother gave an application in the police station
The victim’s mother has stated in her application to Radhanagar police station that after the minor’s suicide, on August 16, the accused and his family members threatened the victim’s family not to go to the police station. They threatened to ruin the family if they pursued the matter. When they protested against this, 15-16 people including Alauddin Sheikh, Tasleem Sheikh, Lakhan Sheikh, Azad Sheikh, Shahzad Sheikh of the accused’s family beat them up.
Police said this in the case
It is said that the deceased’s mother was married in Srikund village of Kotalpokhar police station area, but after divorce she is living in her maternal home. According to Radhanagar police station in-charge Nitesh Kumar Pandey, an FIR has been registered against Shahid Anwar alias Maxi and other members of his family on the statement of the deceased’s mother. Police is investigating the matter.
