The latest news about Baba Siddiqui’s murder case has been released. Preliminary investigations revealed that five Reiki treatments were conducted at Baba Siddiqui’s residence and office in the past 28 days. If sources are to be believed, the accused closely followed Baba’s every move and therefore decided that the murder attack would be carried out on the day of Dussehra. According to police, Zeeshan Akhtar was not in Mumbai when the incident took place but he was planning the murder there. From all these revelations, it is certain that the murder plot was prepared a long time ago.
The gunman involved in the massacre has also been identified. Praveen Lonkar, brother of Shubham Lonkar, came to take the gunman from Pune to Mumbai. Pravin has since posted on social media in the wake of the massacre, admitting responsibility for the incident. It was revealed that Shubham had provided money to the gunman. It is believed that this was a premeditated murder and that all the defendants acted out their roles in committing the crime.
Pakistan-Nepal related routes
Substantial information was also received regarding the weapon used in the murder. Police described the seized 9 mm pistol as a foreign pistol. During the investigation of the case, it was found that the weapon was brought from Punjab and was suspected to have reached Zeeshan Akhtar through Pakistan or Nepal. Therefore, international links appear to be linked to the murders. In this case, police are investigating how the weapons network operated and who else was involved.
Three mobile phones seized from gunman
The police also recovered three mobile phones from the two gunmen captured at the scene. Some of the numbers to which calls had been made before the crime were found on the phones. The numbers are not saved on the phone under any name, so it’s unclear who they belong to. However, the figures are being investigated so that the truth about the murders can be revealed. Police said the phones could be a major part of a criminal network.
The defendant is associated with members of the Lawrence Gang
The role of one of the accused, Shiv Gautam, also came to light during the investigation. Shiv Gautam was associated with members of the Lawrence Gang, for which he used social media platforms such as Telegram and Snapchat. He has since shared all the information with other shooters. After the murder, Shiv was directed to go to Omkareshwar near Ujjain where he would meet a follower of the Lawrence gang.
Another major update on the matter is that Zeeshan Akhtar met Gumail in Patiala jail in Punjab. Zeshan’s inclusion of Gumel in the Lawrence Gang shows how powerful the gang’s network is. Police are currently investigating who else was involved in the murder.
