Hindu temple attacks cause for concern
On Tuesday, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar called the attacks on Hindu temples in Canada worrying. He has said that this shows that Canada is providing political asylum to extremist forces. He said what is happening at Canadian temples is very concerning. The Foreign Minister will visit Australia from November 3 to 7.
Last year, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged that Indian agents were involved in the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Since then, relations between India and Canada have been strained. India denied the accusation, calling it baseless. Not only that, India also expelled six Canadian diplomats. High Commissioner Sanjay Verma and other officials under Canadian surveillance were also recalled.
