The Madras High Court has provided great relief to a young man facing sexual harassment charges. The court has quashed the ongoing sexual harassment suit under Section 354A of the IPC. According to Live Law, Justice Anand Venkatesh, while hearing the case, said that under Section 354-A-(1) (i) of the IPC, the offender must have physical contact to commit the offence. .

In fact, a person named Santhanganesh has filed a petition in court. In this petition, she sought to quash the FIR filed against her by the all-women police station. Santhanganesh is alleged to have called him to a place on November 13, 2022, by the petitioner and the complainant. Thereafter, the two had a conversation that day and the complainant later hugged and kissed the complainant.
The court said there was no need to prosecute the case
When the complainant informed his parents about the matter. Thereafter, when the petitioner proposed marriage to her, she was rejected. Thereafter, a case was registered in the matter on behalf of the complainant. The court granted relief to the plaintiff Santhanganesh in the case and quashed the case. The court said that even if the allegations made were accepted as true, there was no case of such crime against the petitioner. Justice Anand Venkatesh said there was no need to do anything legal.
