Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla convened a meeting of leaders of various parties on Monday. The meeting was called to discuss the smooth functioning of Parliament. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the meeting decided that the House of Representatives will function smoothly from tomorrow. It was also decided that after the completion of the 75th anniversary of the national constitution, discussions will be held in the Lok Sabha on December 13 and 14 and in the House of Representatives on December 16 and 17. Sources said Prime Minister Modi will also discuss the issue.
YSR MP Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi, DMK MP TR Baalu, NCP MP Supriya Sule, Samajwadi Party MP Dharmendra Yadav, JDU MP Dileshwar Kamat, RJD MP Abhay Kushwaha and Lok Sabha Speaker in the meeting called for smooth functioning of Parliament, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant and CPIM MP K Radhakrishnan were present at the meeting.
