Police have recovered a cache of arms and ammunition buried in a village in Sonitpur district of Assam. Seeing this everyone got scared. But later the police said that this cache belonged to the militant organization National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB).

Giving information about this matter on Monday, a top police officer of Assam Police told PTI that these mortal remains were buried in Bilasiguri-Batasipur village at a time when the militant group National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) was active.

In a post on Twitter, DGP GP Singh said that five hand grenades of Chinese origin, five handmade grenades, one pistol, one revolver and five detonators were recovered from the land of Bilasiguri-Batasipur village.

The DGP said that on Monday morning, a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from Bilasiguri-Batasipur village under Dhekiajuli police station in Sonitpur district, where they were hidden underground during the NDFB days.

Let us tell you that after signing the peace agreement with the government, the militant organization NDFB was dissolved in the year 2020. Now this organization no longer exists.
