India is only the second team in the world to do this. Prior to this, only Pakistan had accomplished this feat. Of the 203 T20I matches played abroad, Pakistan won 116 while the team suffered defeats in 78 matches. Meanwhile, the Indian team has now registered 100 wins from 152 matches played abroad.
Afghanistan ranks third in winning most T20I matches on foreign soil. Australia, the 2021 T20 World Cup champions, are in fourth place with 71 wins from 137 away matches. Australia’s main rivals England are fifth with 67 wins in 129 away games. Team India has now set its sights on Pakistan’s record.
