A surprising case was discovered in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. A girl filed for divorce from her husband just after 40 days of marriage. The wife claimed that her husband took a bath only once a week. During the rest of the day, he performed puja by sprinkling Ganges water. The wife was angry about this habit of her husband and filed a complaint with the local police station, seeking a divorce.

The police have transferred the case to the Family Counselling Centre. It is reported that the two had married eight months ago. The husband is a storyteller and does worship work. After marriage, the girl returned to her husband’s house and was shocked to see her husband’s habit. At first, she did not pay much attention to her husband’s behavior. But one day, she interrupted her husband’s bath and began to ignore him. Then he sprinkled Ganges water on himself and started praying.

Wife filed for divorce after 40 days of marriage

In addition to this, the wife said that she would fast on Monday. The husband began to object to this. He said that his father died on Monday. Therefore, he should not fast on that day. Since the husband did not bathe, the wife began to worry about getting sick. The wife said that in 40 days of marriage, the husband had only bathed 6 times. Because of the husband’s habit, the wife became angry and went to his parents’ house.

The matter was reported to the Family Counseling Center

The husband told the counsellor that his wife was lying. He took a bath every four or five days. Dr Satish Khewar, counsellor at the Family Counselling Centre, said the girl told her that her husband beat her. They took a bath only once a week and on other days they conducted their affairs by sprinkling Ganges water. After counselling, the young man promised to take a bath every day. The two sat side by side for explanation and were asked to come for counselling at the next appointment.
