The Delhi High Court has issued notice to the central government on a petition asking the government to facilitate former Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal. The Delhi High Court will hear the case on November 26.
Arvind Kejriwal resigned as Chief Minister of Delhi on September 17. Thereafter, on October 4, Arvind Kejriwal left the Chief Minister’s residence. He currently lives in Bungalow No. 5, Ferozshah Road. The bungalow was allotted to Ashok Mittal, Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab.
‘He’s the leader of the National Party so he gets accommodation’
Aam Aadmi Party says Arvind Kejriwal does not have a house in Delhi. As Arvind Kejriwal is the national convener of the national political party Aam Aadmi Party. In this case, Arvind Kejriwal should be taken care of by the government. The Aam Aadmi Party has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking facilities from the government.
The Aam Aadmi Party leader said AAP is a national party and therefore the party’s national convener should be given government accommodation. For this purpose, reference was also made to the chairpersons of political parties in other countries. However, it remains to be seen what reply the central government will give in the High Court now.
BJP accused of attack
On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party accused former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal of trying to attack him. The party claimed that the attack was the work of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The party alleged that the former prime minister was attacked while marching in Vikaspuri.

Arvind Kejriwal, while addressing a meeting of Aam Aadmi Party workers and officials on Saturday, said the motive of the BJP in arresting us is to dismantle the Aam Aadmi Party.
