The Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday issued notice to former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The High Court has issued notice to Dhoni in a case filed by his former partners Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das. The court has ordered Dhoni to appear before the court to clarify his stand in the case. What’s going on?
It is learned that Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das are the directors of ‘Arka Sports and Management Limited’. Both of them have signed an agreement with Mahendra Singh Dhoni to open a cricket academy in his name. However, some time later, MS Dhoni accused Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das of cheating. On January 5, Dhoni filed a criminal complaint against him in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand.
Rs 15 Crore Scam – Dhoni
In the criminal complaint, Mahendra Singh Dhoni claimed that he was defrauded of Rs 15 crore. Dhoni claimed that he canceled the agreement rights for the academy in 2021. However, even after this, Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das continued to use his name. Later, Diwakar and Das were heard before the Ranchi judicial magistrate’s court. However, both of them approached the Jharkhand High Court regarding the matter. Now the High Court has ordered Dhoni to appear before the case.
