In fact, Myntra fashion superstar and renowned influencer Tanumita Ghosh went out on the streets of Mumbai and that too in just a towel. She had a pink towel wrapped around herself and one tied around her wet hair as if she had just come out of the bathroom. People were shocked to see Tanumita like this on the road. In the caption of the video, Tanumita has written – ‘The people of Mumbai will be feeling ‘tauba-tauba’ after seeing me today.’ Along with the strange outfit, Tanumita is also wearing sports shoes and earrings.
There is a dramatic turn at the end of the video when Tanumita goes ahead and takes off the towel on the road and it is seen that she is wearing a beautiful dress inside. People were shocked by this bold stunt of Tanumita. Tanumita’s objective of attracting people’s attention was also fulfilled.
This video went viral on Instagram, getting more than 10 lakh views and thousands of likes and shares. Apart from this, people also started commenting a lot on this. Some called it shameless and some called it a cheap stunt for views. One user compared Tanumita to those celebrities who are seen doing strange things for the sake of headlines. Many people called it objectification of women.
Responding to the reaction, Tanumita clarified that the video was from a 2019 show where she was given a special task. He emphasized that it should not be taken seriously and is part of an entertainment format which is judged by celebrities like Sonakshi Sinha, Shalina Nathani, Manish Malhotra and Dino Morea. However, despite this, some people continued to speak ill of him.
