The films will be released this week (October 10-11)

Three major releases this week –Jigra, Vitayanand Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video— promises a variety of genres, from thrilling action to light-hearted comedy.

Jigra (released October 11)

Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra is a gripping action thriller starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina. The film centers on Satya (Aaliya Bhatt), a fiercely protective sister who will stop at nothing to rescue her brother Ankur (Vidan Raina) who has escaped from prison. Brotherhood forms the emotional core of this high-octane film, Jigra This is the first time Alia and Vedang are sharing the screen. Vettaiyan (released on October 10)

Superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan come together Vitayana Tamil action film directed by TJ Gnanavel. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan. The film, slated to release on Vijayadashami, tells the story of Rajinikanth playing a former IPS officer who meets an expert in fighting injustice. Although the plot of the story has been kept under wraps, Vitayan Amitabh Bachchan’s debut in a Tamil film has added to the excitement.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala video (in theaters October 11)

Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, this quirky comedy introduces new on-screen partners Triptii Dimri and Rajkummar Rao as Vicky and Vidya respectively. Set in 1997, the film tells the story of a newlywed couple who decide to film their first wedding night, only to discover that the video has been stolen, leading to a series of hilarious mishaps as they try to retrieve it. With its unique premise, the film promises to explore social attitudes surrounding sex in the ’90s, providing both laughs and thought-provoking moments.
