According to the information, 45-year-old Vijay Kumar, a resident of Gursahaiganj police station area of Kannauj district, was serving a sentence in Etawah jail in a murder case. He was released from jail yesterday. After coming out of jail, he was coming home in an auto with his wife and daughter. Then a speeding Scorpio hit the auto from behind in the Talagram area of Lucknow-Agra Expressway.
The auto was shattered due to the collision with the Scorpio. Vijay Kumar, who was released from jail, died on the spot in this accident. Vijay’s innocent daughter also died. His wife and the auto driver have been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. They are undergoing treatment at the Medical College of Tirwa.

On 21 May 2012, Chhotelal resident of village Paduapur (Post Gugrapur) was shot dead in a field. A case was registered against five people in this case. The main accused was Vijendra Kumar, the other accused were Babu, Ram Babu, Chhaviram and Vijay Kumar. Vijay was earlier in Anaugi district jail, he came out on appeal for some time, after that he was sent to Etawah district jail. Yesterday (12 August) when he was returning home after serving a sentence of 9 years, he died in a road accident.
In this case, CO Kamlesh Kumar said that Vijay Kumar was in Etawah jail in a murder case and was released after 9 years. His wife and daughter went to pick him up by auto. While returning, he met with an accident on the expressway. Investigation is being done, action will be taken on the basis of the complaint.
