Assembly elections will be held in Maharashtra and by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. Two seats in the states of Baramati and Kahal are under discussion. Deputy Minister Ajit Pawar and his nephew Yugendra Pawar will be in a direct contest for the Baramati seat in Maharashtra. Just four months ago during the Lok Sabha elections, a political conflict broke out between the sister-in-law and the sister-in-law. Ajit’s wife Sunetra Pawar defeated by his sister-in-law and Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule in a head-to-head contest . Now, the Pawar family is once again fighting over the seat. Sharad Pawar has handed over the ticket to Yugendra. Yogendra is the grandson of Sharad Pawar and the son of Srinivas Pawar, brother of Ajit Pawar.
Maharashtra Baramati will once again be an interesting battle. The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) has announced Yugendra Pawar as its candidate from Baramati Assembly constituency. Political experts say Ajit Pawar’s problems have become more serious with the entry of Yogendra. Ajit has won assembly elections from Baramati seven times so far, but now for the eighth time his path has become difficult. Because Ajit Pawar on one hand and the entire Pawar family on the other hand are openly against him.
Sharad Pawar plays family card to nephew Ajit
Ajit rebelled against his biological uncle Sharad Pawar in July 2023 and joined the BJP-led NDA government. Party leader Ajit left with him. As a result, the party’s election symbol “The Clock” was also lost from Sharad and taken over by the Ajit Group. Sharad Pawar showed his strength in this year’s Lok Sabha elections, dealing a heavy blow to Ajit in his stronghold of Baramati. In fact, Baramati is considered a stronghold of the Pawar family. Ajit won the Lok Sabha election and Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule won the Lok Sabha election. This time, however, things have changed in the Lok Sabha elections. When Supriya Sule came out from the Sharad group, Ajit placed his wife Sunetra in front of his sister.

Yugendra gets rewarded for his hard work in Baramati
During the general elections, Srinivas Pawar and his entire family left his brother Ajit in favor of his cousin Supriya. Srinivas’ son Yogendra did his best for his aunt Supriya’s victory. When the results came out and Supriya won the election from Baramati for the fourth time, Ajit was shocked.
Ajit’s reputation is at stake this time
Now in the Assembly elections, Sharad Pawar has rewarded Yogendra for his hard work and formulated a comprehensive plan to take revenge against Ajith’s rebellion. Yogendra Pawar will contest from the Baramati Assembly seat against his real uncle Ajit Pawar. Ajit’s reputation is at stake in this election. Ajit has been winning elections from the Baramati Assembly seat since 1993. Ajit Pawar defeated the BJP candidate from the Baramati Assembly seat in 2019 by a record margin of 165,000 votes.
Election contest between UP uncle and nephew
Similarly, in Uttar Pradesh, there will be an electoral battle between uncles and nephews of the Yadav family of Saifai in Kajal seat. Anujesh Pratap Singh Yadav is in the fray on the BJP ticket. He will face Socialist Party candidate Tej Pratap Yadav.

Saifai family’s rivalry with relatives in Mainpuri
A by-election is being held in Kalhar constituency in Mainpuri district following the resignation of Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav. Akhilesh is now Kannauj MP. The Cajal region is considered the stronghold of the Socialist Party, which has been dominant here since 1993. The only exception was in 2002, when the seat was won by Sobran Singh Yadav of the BJP. But later he joined SP. SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav worked as a teacher at Jain Inter College in Karhal. Karhal is just 4 km away from Saifai, the ancestral village of the Yadav family and the area is also part of the Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency of Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav.
Mulayam and Lalu’s son-in-law in the field
BJP candidate Anujesh Yadav is the husband of Sandhya Yadav, sister of Samajwadi Party MP Dharmendra Yadav. In other words, Anujesh is the brother-in-law of Akhilesh and Dharmendra and the son-in-law of Abhayram Yadav, the younger brother of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Anujesh is a resident of Balaur village in Firozabad district. Tej Pratap Yadav is also a member of the Saifai family. Tej Pratap is the grandson of Ratan Singh, brother of Mulayam Singh Yadav and the late Ranveer Singh ·Son of Ranveer Singh Yadav. Tej Pratap has also served as a member of Congress and is the son-in-law of RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav. This means uncle Anujesh and nephew Tej Pratap will face each other in the by-election. Against this backdrop, an interesting contest has unfolded between the Safai family and their relatives on the Kahal seat.
The BJP’s big move to storm the SP bastion
Another identity of Anujesh’s wife and sister of Dharmendra Yadav, Sandhya Yadav, is that she is the first daughter of the Yadav family to enter politics. Sandhya also served as the Mainpuri district panchayat president from 2015 to 2020. Meanwhile, Anujesh is a district council member in Firozabad district. Another thing about Anujesh’s political career is that his mother Urmila Devi is the SP MLA from Mainpuri Jiroor assembly constituency. Ahead of the 2022 UP Assembly elections, Sandhya Yadav joined the Bharatiya Janata Party along with her husband Anujesh.
The Karhal region is considered to be a Yadav dominated region. That’s why this area is a strong fortress for SP. In the 2022 elections, the BJP fielded Union Minister SP Baghel against Akhilesh Yadav, but the BJP had to face defeat. In this case, the BJP took a big gamble on Kajhar, cornered the Samajwadi Party and fielded members of the Yadav family in the elections.
