Samajwadi Party MP Afzal Ansari on Sunday attacked the government on a number of issues, including the monarchy and the constitution. The Socialist leader described the Sengol preserved in the parliament building as a symbol of the monarchy. Regarding EVM, he said it was not mentioned in the Constitution. There will be a movement in the country and EVMs will be removed. Afzal Ansari, MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur, was yesterday acquitted in a 23-year-old case. He was accused of sabotage during the 2001 parliamentary protests in Mohammadabad.

Meanwhile, a day later he questioned the appointment of Sengol, EVM and election officials. Afzal Ansari, brother of former MP Mukhtar Ansari, said people across the country have many concerns about the constitution. Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar did not mention EVM in the constitution, he only mentioned the right to vote. There’s not even a provision in the Constitution for speech bombs.

Rajdand is a symbol of dictatorship – Afzal

Afzal Ansari said Akhilesh Yadav will talk about canceling EVM only after winning 80 seats in the state. Baba Saheb asked to study. Don’t ring the doorbell. There is nothing in the Constitution against speech bombs. The SP leader said the appointment of election officials to the Election Commission should be fair. Afzal Ansari has questioned the appointment of election commissioner. He said a new law was enacted by repealing the previous order.

These include the prime minister himself, ministers in the Council of Ministers and the leader of the opposition, he said. The SP leader said, “Science and technology should be used to take the country to the pinnacle of progress.” Furthermore, he called Rajdande a symbol of dictatorship and demanded his removal from the parliament. He talked about abolishing Senghor and establishing constitution and democracy.

“The constitution and democracy should have been retained but the new Parliament has retained Sengol, which is the symbol of monarchy,” the SP MP said. He said Rajdand Sengol should be evicted from that place and a formulation should be made A constitution. Ansari said that when Sangur emerged, there was monarchy. This is a punishment. This means that the system will operate by hitting it with a stick.

Calling on the people of Sambal to exercise restraint

SP MP Afzal Ansari also spoke about the Sambhar violence. He appealed to the people of Sambhar to exercise restraint. He also said that the Supreme Court has said that if you have power, you will pass such orders and your life will be ruined. If it were us, we’d jump off the roof. Meanwhile, regarding the petition filed against Ajmer Sharif, he said that the country is undertaking a ‘Khod Bharat’ movement.
