‘The clock’ is becoming loose in the weakening political hands of Ajit Pawar

Everything was going well around Ajit Pawar till the Lok Sabha elections. After the results came on June 4, it became clear that in fact nothing was right. The reality was veiled, so everything seemed fine.

If something had been managed even after the election loss, there would have been no need to worry, but the activism of Sharad Pawar, who emerged powerful after the Lok Sabha elections, has started increasing the troubles of Ajit Pawar – and a big and new problem in it is the notice received from the Supreme Court. Is.

The Supreme Court has sought response from Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and his 40 MLAs on Sharad Pawar’s petition against Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar’s decision to accept Ajit Pawar’s faction as the real NCP. Keep in mind that Ajit Pawar is using the clock election symbol only till the final decision of the court comes, and on the orders of the court, he had to inform the people about this by giving advertisements in the media during the Lok Sabha elections.

Of course, Ajit Pawar remains the Deputy CM of Maharashtra, despite losing the election from Baramati Lok Sabha seat, his wife Sunetra Pawar has also reached Rajya Sabha, but everything else is not getting sorted out. The comrades of the rebellion have also started leaving, and the BJP also no longer has as much interest in Ajit Pawar as before.

1. Poor performance in Lok Sabha elections

Ajit Pawar’s NCP had the worst performance in the Lok Sabha elections. She could win only one Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra. After the rebellion against Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar had given the biggest challenge by fielding Sunetra Pawar on Baramati seat, but missed.

Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule retained the Baramati seat with her father’s blessings, defeating her sister-in-law Sunetra Pawar. If seen, the Baramati front was very difficult for both Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule, because Ajit Pawar was only in the role of a pawn while BJP was playing the real game.

But just like Sharad Pawar had defeated BJP in Satara by-election by holding a rally in the rain in 2019, he once again handed the gift of defeat to Ajit Pawar – Ajit Pawar was the apple of BJP’s eyes only till then. If he can harm Sharad Pawar, if he is not able to do this, then what is the use of him?

Now Ajit Pawar has to pay the price of poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections every day, and is facing the consequences at every step.

2. Dispersion of trusted people to join Sharad Pawar camp

Earlier there were reports of only the district level leaders of Ajit Pawar camp leaving, but now there are reports of many MLAs of Ajit Pawar’s NCP also being in touch with the leaders of Sharad Pawar group.

Many leaders are said to be in the queue after Babazani Durrani, considered one of the big Muslim faces of NCP, left Ajit Pawar. Babajani had recently met Sharad Pawar during his visit to Sambhajinagar.

Babajani has claimed that many big leaders of NCP are angry with Ajit Pawar. Babajani Durrani was till now the president of Parbhani district of Ajit Pawar faction of NCP, and is a member of the Legislative Council. His tenure is going to end after a few days. After Babajani, the possibility of three fellow MLAs of Ajit Pawar also joining Sharad Pawar’s camp has been expressed.

However, from time to time, some relief events are also happening for Ajit Pawar. Not to Sharad Pawar, but Ajit Pawar has definitely given a big blow to the Congress. Nitin Patil, former Congress MLA from Kannada constituency in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, has met Ajit Pawar and tied a ‘watch’ on his hand. The clock is, in fact, the election symbol of Ajit Pawar’s NCP.

3. Now there is a heated debate in the court on the claim of the real NCP.

Ghadi election symbol is also with Ajit Pawar only until the Supreme Court’s decision in this matter comes. The Supreme Court had told this to Ajit Pawar even before the Lok Sabha elections. Besides this, he was also instructed to give an advertisement in the media and clearly tell the people that the time for the election is with him only temporarily, until the court’s decision comes in the case – Now the Supreme Court has given notice to Ajit Pawar. Has been asked to respond in this matter.

Ajit Pawar had rebelled against his uncle Sharad Pawar and joined the Maharashtra government of the BJP coalition led by Eknath Shinde. Along with Ajit Pawar, a large number of MLAs also left Sharad Pawar. On February 15, 2024, Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar ruled that the faction led by Ajit Pawar is the real NCP – and rejected demands by both factions to disqualify MLAs against each other. Was.

Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing on behalf of Sharad Pawar in the Supreme Court, has appealed to the Supreme Court that keeping in mind the remaining tenure of the Maharashtra Assembly, the petition should be heard immediately. The tenure of Maharashtra Assembly is going to end in November, 2024.

On behalf of Sharad Pawar, Speaker Rahul Narvekar’s decision has been challenged in the Supreme Court – and in this matter the Supreme Court has also sought answers from Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and his 40 MLAs.

4. Ajit Pawar’s loss, Sharad Pawar’s gain

The situation in the fight between uncle and nephew is that every loss of Ajit Pawar is a gain for Sharad Pawar. Ajit Pawar, standing on the brink of Maharashtra elections, has a lot to lose, while Sharad Pawar has a lot to gain.

After the Lok Sabha elections, Ajit Pawar may have to face the next loss in seat distribution, provided the support between Ajit Pawar and BJP remains intact till the assembly elections. Now BJP will defeat Ajit Pawar at least in the seats.

It is possible that BJP may spare Ajit Pawar the assembly seats in the Lok Sabha seat where NCP has won, but in Baramati and surrounding areas, it will think twice before taking the risk.

If Sharad Pawar on his own can maintain the performance of Lok Sabha in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, then what will be the condition of Ajit Pawar after the elections can only be imagined – and if Ajit Pawar is of no use to the BJP, then he will get the post of Deputy CM. Also refrained from giving for a long time.

5. There was a demand in BJP also to get rid of Ajit Pawar.

Till now, there has been no indication from the BJP leadership or Sharad Pawar about getting rid of Ajit Pawar, but such a demand has started coming at the lower level or from the Sangh camp. In a report of Sangh-oriented weekly magazine Vivek, it was said that resentment is being felt not only among BJP leaders and workers but also among its supporters regarding the alliance with Ajit Pawar.
