A statement from the presidential office said Lula (78) will now participate in the BRICS summit via video conference. Before this incident, he was scheduled to leave for Russia at 5 pm on Sunday to attend the BRICS leaders’ meeting.
Brazilian President Lula’s doctor Roberto Kalili said in an interview with Global News TV that the president fell and injured the back of his head. As a result, he suffered a minor brain hemorrhage.
In this case, the president would have to undergo multiple tests over the course of a week, the statement said. Therefore, he must be observed. However, he can participate in normal activities. According to medical reports, he was advised not to travel long distances due to head injuries.
