The first Test match between India and Australia will be played on November 22 in Perth. But Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma will not be available for the first match. Gill was injured and Rohit did not go to Australia after the birth of his son. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will take charge in Rohit’s place and Akashdeep is likely to get a chance to support him in the eleven. Akashdeep has been performing well for a while now and has managed to impress everyone with his bowling. There is a battle between youngster Harshit Rana and Prasidh Krishna for the third over.
Harshit Rana impresses
Delhi fast bowler Harshit Rana’s performance in the first Test was considered strong. He has played only 10 first-class matches so far, taking 43 wickets. He has been performing well, with a pace of over 140 km/h and good jumping ability. He even impressed the giant. During India’s net practice at the WACA Ground in Perth, Harshit’s quick pace troubled the batsmen on several occasions. He could make his debut in the first Test match.
Prasidh Krishna has experience
Prasidh Krishna made his Test debut for India in 2023. He has played only two Test matches for India so far. In 17 ODI matches, he has 29 wickets to his name. As the third fast bowler, he is also a strong contender for a spot in the Indian team. He has experience and could bounce back well in Australia. Krishna took 73 wickets in India’s first-tier matches and 113 in Group-A matches. What decision will the team management and captain make now? Only time will tell.
Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna and Ha Harshit Rana has been given a chance to feature as India’s fast bowler in the Test series against Australia. Nitish Kumar Reddy’s bowling is also fast. According to ESPNcricinfo, the Indian team can field three fast bowlers. And fast bowlers can feed all-rounders. Nitish Reddy’s name is at the top.
