The body of the petrol pump owner was found in a car on the highway, now the murderer has been caught by the police

Palghar Petrol Pump Owner Murder: The police has solved the murder case of a petrol pump owner in Palghar district of Maharashtra. In connection with this murder, the police have arrested two accused from Uttar Pradesh. Last month, the body of petrol pump owner Ramchandra Gurukukhdas Kakarani was found in his car. Since then the police was searching for the murderers.

Giving information, MBVV Additional Police Commissioner Datta Shinde told PTI that based on a secret information, the police on Wednesday arrested the accused Mukesh Khubchandani and Anil Rajkumar from Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh, where they had come to sell the valuables stolen from the deceased Ramchandra Gurukukhdas Kakrani.

Additional Police Commissioner Datta Shinde said that the body of petrol pump owner Kakarani was found in his car on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway on August 25. He said that it is alleged that his driver Khubchandani and two others kidnapped him and then strangled him to death. After this, cash, diamond ring and watch were looted from him.

The Naigaon police have registered a case under sections 140(2) (kidnapping for murder or ransom), 103(1) (murder), 309(2) (dacoity) and 238 (destruction of evidence or giving false information) of the Indian Penal Code.

Additional Commissioner of Police Datta Shinde said that investigation revealed that Khubchandani had killed the victim with the help of his two accomplices living near the Nepal border. In this connection, a special team was sent to Siddharth Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, where the local police informed them that the accused had already fled to Lumbini in Nepal. Since the accused could not sell the stolen valuables in the neighboring country, two of them reached Gorakhpur and were arrested.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Madan Ballal said that stolen valuables worth Rs 15.17 lakh have been recovered from the two. He said that crimes have been registered against Khubchandani in various police stations since 2012.
