The bodies of an unidentified woman and her one-year-old daughter were found in bushes beside a drainage ditch in a village in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur district, causing a stir in the area. Police provided the information Tuesday. He said the investigation into the case began after the body was found near Bajapur village in Malwan district on Monday night.
A police officer said both victims appeared to have been murdered and their bodies thrown into bushes.
Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Shankar Mishra told PTI, “According to information provided by locals, a woman aged around 25 and a one-year-old girl were found dead in the bushes on the banks of a drainage ditch near a field in Bajapur village.” Monday 7pm.
The body looked to be two or three days old. Misra said it appeared that both men were killed with a sharp weapon and then thrown into the bushes. Stating that the bodies have been sent to the mortuary, the official said efforts were on to collect information about the missing women and children from nearby police stations and adjoining areas.
Recently, a similar case took place in Faridabad, Haryana. On Friday, a body was found in the bushes with its throat cut. After receiving the news, the police rushed to the scene, seized the body and sent it for autopsy. Police said a flight information report (FIR) has been registered in the matter and further investigation is underway. Only after this will further action be taken.
