The Bharatiya Janata Party has stepped up preparations for the Delhi Assembly elections. The BJP will speed up its campaigning in Delhi from the last week of November. The BJP is gearing up to field around 10 MLAs and MLAs in the upcoming assembly elections.
In the Delhi assembly elections, the BJP will field legislators with strong influence and good image. Meanwhile, former MPs Ramesh Bidhuri and Pravesh Verma are certain to contest the assembly elections. The BJP can hand over 3 seats in the Delhi Assembly to its alliance allies. According to sources, NDA ally JDU is likely to get two seats in Delhi, while LJP (Ram Vilas) is likely to get one seat. Seemapuri, Burari and Sangam Vihar assembly seats in Delhi can be given to alliance parties like JDU and LJP.
Many MLAs could lose their seats as political parties investigate
According to sources, most of the tickets for the current seven MLAs in Delhi are likely to be cut. Survey reports of many sitting BJP MLAs have come back negative. The party is conducting a survey on the seats of sitting MLAs such as Abhay Verma from Laxmi Nagar assembly constituency in Delhi, Anil Bajpai from Gandhinagar, Vishwas Nagar Ajay Mahawal, the sitting MLA from Gonda Assembly constituency, is Oprakash Sharma.
