The contest on Julana seat, which came into the limelight after the candidature of wrestler Vinesh Phogat in the Haryana assembly elections, has become more interesting. After BJP made former pilot Yogesh Bairagi its candidate from here, now Aam Aadmi Party has placed its bet on WWE female wrestler Kavita Dalal. Kavita Dalal had joined AAP some time ago. Kavita, a resident of Jind district, is the daughter-in-law of Bijwada village located in Baghpat district of UP. She is India’s first female wrestler in WWE.
Kavita Dalal has a total of five siblings. She was born in Malvi village of Julana tehsil of Jind district. Kavita got married in 2009. She gave birth to a child in 2012, after which she wanted to quit the sport. But inspired by her husband, she continued playing. Kavita recently made headlines by wrestling in a suit-salwar. Kavita’s father Omprakash Dalal died in December 2023. Kavita’s mother’s name is Gyanmati. Kavita is the fourth among five siblings. She has two sisters, Sunita and Geeta. Of the two brothers, Sanjay Dalal is elder to Kavita and Sandeep Dalal is younger to her.

From Julana seat of Jind district, Congress has fielded Vinesh Phogat, BJP has fielded Captain Yogesh Bairagi and JJP has fielded its sitting MLA Amarjit Singh Dhanda. Aam Aadmi Party has given ticket to Kavita Dalal. Now in the battle of Julana, former pilot and one-time MLA Amarjit Singh Dhanda is in the fray along with two female wrestlers. BJP has never won this seat of Jind district. Congress had won this seat in 2005.
Kavita Dalal is also known as Lady Khali. Kavita started her political career in 2022, but before this she earned a lot of fame in wrestling. Kavita Dalal, who has received the ‘First Lady’ award from the President, won the gold medal in weightlifting at the 12th Asian Games. She won this medal once again in 2016. After this, she entered the world of professional wrestling by joining The Great Khali’s Continental Wrestling Entertainment. Her ring name is Kavita.
An important milestone in Kavita’s career came when WWE signed a contract with her in 2017 and she started training under it. In 2018, Kavita entered the WWE ring for the first time. Kavita also debuted in the NEX Live event the same year. Kavita Dalal performed very well in the Mae Young Classic tournament and after this she always remained in the headlines.
