The Balaich violence case in UP has taken a new twist. On Monday, Mahsi Sureshwar Singh, a BJP MLA, filed a case against seven people, including his own party leader. The name of BJP city president Arpit Srivastava also appears among the seven. An unidentified goon was also named in the FIR filed by the MLA. A BJP MP claimed that stones were thrown at his convoy and shots were fired at his convoy after a crowd protesting at the hospital intersection after the murder of Ram Gopal Mishra.
According to the FIR filed by MLA Mahsi Sureshwar Singh, resident of the city police station, the crowd protested by placing the body of Ram Gopal, who died during the Maharajganj violence on October 13, at the gate outside Balaichi Medical College. Along with his bodyguards and other colleagues, he reached the place where the body was kept. Thereafter, he reached the CMO office to meet the DM, where the CMO and the city magistrate were also present.

The MLA claimed that he again found the relatives and villagers of the deceased with him and after talking to them, started transporting the body to the mortuary, including BJP city president Arpit Srivastava and other BJP worker Anuj ·Some miscreants including Singh Lekwal, Shubham Mishra, Kushmendra Chaudhary, Manish Chandra Shukla, Pundarik Pandey teacher, department coordinator Sundhashu Singh Rana and an unidentified crowd started hurling abuses while shouting slogans.
It was further stated in the FIR that after leaving the body at the mortuary, the vehicle would turn whenever he and the DM moved forward. People allegedly started throwing rocks with the intention of stopping the car and killing the survivors. At the same time, someone in the crowd also opened fire. The car glass was shattered and his son Akande Pratap Singh had a narrow escape.

In his complaint, the MLA also said that the incident was clearly visible in the CCTV footage. The district president of the BJP has confirmed Arpit as the city president of the BJP. The Municipal Public Security Bureau opened a case for investigation against the defendant on charges of riot, armed assault, intentional homicide, endangering personal safety, and assaulting others.
