Akhilesh Yadav met the Ayodhya gang rape victim in Lucknow. Samajwadi Party leader Pawan Pandey asked the victim and her family to meet Akhilesh at the party office. During this, the victim narrated the incident in detail to Akhilesh Yadav and requested for help in getting justice.
The gang rape victim spoke to the media after coming out of the SP office. The victim said – I have told everything to Akhilesh Yadav. He assured me of cooperation. This happened to me between August 16 and 25. I had gone to the administration at that time, but the sub-inspector of Mahila police station treated me badly. He abused me and drove me away.
According to the rape victim – I reported it to higher authorities after that and only then was the FIR registered. Now the accused is trying to prove that I am a liar. Pressure is being created to withdraw the FIR. My parents are under pressure. The accused told the family to control their daughter, otherwise respect cannot be restored. The accused are workers of the ruling party, so the police are trying to protect them.
According to the news agency, police said on Friday that a minor Dalit girl was allegedly raped in Mirkipur. The incident took place on the night between Wednesday and Thursday. Police said the girl was sleeping at home when the accused entered her house. He then raped the girl. After the incident, the accused fled the scene. Later, the victim’s family took the girl to the local police station after learning about the incident.
