A big revelation has been made about Sanjay Roy, the main accused in the brutality and murder of a lady doctor in Kolkata. The accused had married 4 times, but his last three wives had left Sanjay because of his misbehavior. His neighbors made this claim while talking to Aaj Tak.
According to the neighbors of accused Sanjay Roy, he had married four times. His three wives had left him because of his misbehavior. Whereas the fourth wife died of cancer last year. Neighbors told that the accused often returned home late at night in an inebriated state.
However, Sanjay Roy’s mother Malti Roy denied the allegations against her son and claimed that he had confessed to the crime under police pressure. He said that my son is innocent. He had confessed to the crime under police pressure.
Sanjay Roy was arrested for his involvement in the rape and murder of a lady doctor at RG Kar Medical College in North Kolkata. The body of the 31-year-old victim was found in the seminar hall of the hospital.
The four-page post-mortem report revealed that there were injury marks on other parts of the lady doctor’s body. The report said that the deceased was bleeding from both her eyes and mouth, there were injury marks on her face and a nail was also there. Blood was coming out from the private parts of the victim. There were injury marks on his stomach, left leg, neck, right hand, ring finger and lips.
The police have charged Sanjay Roy under sections 64 (rape) and 103 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code and he was produced in the Sealdah court. The court has sent him to police custody till August 23.
This incident has spread immense anger among the doctors, nursing staff and medical students of the city. Junior doctors and students of various government hospitals including RG Kar Medical College, National Medical College and Medical College, Kolkata took out protests and processions. Similar protests also took place in district hospitals like Bardhaman Medical College and Bankura Sammilani Medical College, demanding strict punishment for the accused and increased safety of women in hospitals.
