According to information, on Tuesday evening, Shanu (10) and Ram Bahadur were attacked and injured by a wild animal (jackal) while working in the fields. In another attack, Ram Kishore (50), a resident of Behat Sakat, was also injured.
Regarding this, the SDM said that the villagers have been attacked by a wild animal, there has been no loss of life. The villagers have reported seeing a jackal. At present, the forest department has been informed, the search operation is on.
According to the SDM, due to excessive rain, wild animals might have lost their habitat and entered the nearby villages. There is a need to remain alert about them. The district administration is ready to provide all possible help.
It is known that the terror of wolves is continuing in Bahraich these days. These wolves have killed 9 people so far. While, they have injured dozens. The police-administration along with the forest department are engaged in catching them. At present, 5 wolves have been caught but the sixth one is still absconding. He is continuously carrying out attacks.
