Team India in Semifinal Women Asia Cup: The Indian women’s cricket team is in tremendous form these days under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur. The team has entered the semi-finals by winning 3 consecutive matches. The Indian team played its third match in Group A on Tuesday (23 July) against Nepal.

The Indian team won this match by a margin of 82 runs. Indian opener Shefali Verma made a splash with her batting in the match. He played a match-winning inning of 81 runs in 48 balls. Because of this he was chosen player of the match.

Deepti showed amazing performance in bowling

This match was played in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, in which the Indian team, after winning the toss and batting first, scored 178 runs for 3 wickets. For the team, Shefali hit 1 six and 12 fours in her innings of 81 runs. Apart from them, D Hemalatha scored 47 runs and Jemimah Rodriguez scored 28 unbeaten runs. Sita Rana took 2 wickets for Nepal.

After this, while chasing the target of 179 runs, Nepal team could score only 96 runs for 9 wickets and lost the match. No player for the team could touch the figure of 20 runs. Opener Sita Rana has scored the maximum of 18 runs. Whereas Deepti Sharma took 3 wickets for India. Arundhati Reddy and Radha Yadav got 2-2 wickets.

India and Pakistan both in semi-finals

The Indian team won all three of its matches in Group A and topped the points table. Despite being on top, the Indian team has entered the semi-finals. With that, Pakistan has got the semi-final ticket from this group. Two semi-finalists from Group B have not been decided yet. Their decision will be taken on 24th July.
