The Pakistan cricket team is currently touring Zimbabwe and will play the third and final match of the T20I series on November 5. Pakistan team will travel to South Africa for this series. Pakistan’s tour of South Africa will begin on December 10 with a T20I series and both teams have announced their respective squads. Pakistan will play a three-match T20I series on the tour of South Africa. After that, 3 ODI series will be played and finally 2 Test match series will be organized.
Powerful batsman gets captaincy title
South Africa has announced its 15-member squad for the 3-match T20I series. In the absence of Aiden Markram, powerful batsman Heinrich Klassen has been named team captain. Klaasen was recently hired by SRH for a whopping Rs 3 crore. Marco Janson, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada and Tristan Stubbs will not feature in the T20I series. They will return to the ODI series against Pakistan to prepare for next year’s ICC Champions Trophy.
Returning to the team after a long time
Fast bowler Anrich Norkhie and spinner Tabbraiz Shamsi return to the T20I squad for the first time since the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in June. All-rounder George Linde has also been included in the squad, having returned to the T20I squad after last playing against Ireland in July 2021. The 33-year-old has played 14 T20 matches and has been in fine form in the CSA T20 Challenge this season, scoring 171 runs at a strike rate of 178.12, taking 9 wickets at an average of 18.33.
