Tata Nexon CNG price and mileage: The country’s leading carmaker Tata Motors has created buzz ahead of the festive season by expanding its CNG product portfolio. Tata Motors officially launched the new Nexon iCNG in the domestic market today. The CNG SUV, which has attractive looks and a powerful engine, has a starting price fixed at Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
What’s special about Tata Nexon CNG:
With the launch of this new model, Tata Nexon becomes the first car in the country to be available in petrol, diesel, CNG and even electric versions. The company has launched a total of 8 models of Nexon CNG. These include Smart (O), Smart Plus, Smart Plus S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative Plus and Fearless Plus S.
The SUV’s appearance and design remain unchanged. This is exactly the same as the new facelift model. It has a split headlight setup and the Tata logo is placed on the wide upper grille section. The lower part of the headlights are housed in a trapezoidal housing with a large grille through which a thick plastic strip runs. The new Nexon comes with new sequential LED daytime running lights.
Power, performance and mileage:
The Nexon CNG comes with a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine. Equipped with 6-speed manual transmission. The company also uses its twin-cylinder technology in this. This means that the car uses two small CNG cylinders. This way you don’t have to compromise on boot space. Its luggage space is 321 liters. In CNG mode, the engine produces 99bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. The company claims that the CNG SUV has a driving range of 24 km/kg.
Cabin and interior:
The cabin of the Tata Nexon facelift has been redesigned with a new touchscreen setup and a two-spoke steering wheel, and its interior design is inspired by the Curve concept. Here, the AC vents are made slightly thinner. There are fewer buttons on the dashboard, making operating functions easier.
The center console has two switches, surrounded by a touch-sensitive HVAC control panel. The dashboard also features leather inserts with a carbon fiber finish. It has a standalone 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster as a second screen that can also be customized for navigation.
