Former Maharashtra minister and three-time MP Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Mumbai. Mumbai police arrested two accused in the case. The opposition is attacking the Shinde government over the incident. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Aditya Thackeray said the incident exposed the chaotic state of law and order in Maharashtra. He further wrote that the murder of his son Baba Siddiqui in Bihar is extremely sad and if the BJP coalition government cannot protect such an influential leader of its party, what will happen to the common people?
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said the horrific incident highlighted the complete breakdown of law and order in Maharashtra. “The government should take responsibility and deliver justice,” he wrote on the social media platform.
Hager says – Accountability is crucial
Congress president Mallikarjun Haq demanded justice for Baba Siddiqui’s family. He said justice should be served and the perpetrators punished as soon as possible. Haq wrote that the current Maharashtra government should order a thorough and transparent investigation and punish the perpetrators as soon as possible.
Aditya Thackeray says – Collapse of administration, law and order
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray tweeted: “The murder of Baba Siddiqui Ji is shocking. We pray for the peace of his soul and extend our condolences to his Family and friends expressed condolences: “This is a tragedy for Maharashtra and shows how law and order has completely broken down.” ”
CM Shinde will take strict action against culprits
Reacting to the incident, CM Eknath Shinde said strict action would be taken against all the accused. Two defendants have been arrested and one is still on the lam. No one can take law and order into his own hands. Instructions have been issued to Mumbai Police.
Baba Siddiqui leaves Congress and joins NCP
Baba Siddiqui left the Congress in February this year and joined the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). Siddiqui received death threats 15 days ago, after which he was also given Y-level security protection. Even after receiving such protection, his murder still raised many questions.

Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Mumbai late Saturday night. Several shots were fired at him in Bandra East and he received two bullets. He was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The police also arrested two accused in this case. The other accused is absconding and is being searched.
