DoT acts against cybercrime, suspends over 24,000 mobile connections

New Delhi: In a significant clampdown on cybercrime and fraudulent acts in the digital world, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on Friday suspended as many as 24,228 mobile connections, with immediate effect. These 24,228 mobile connections were found to be linked with 42 unique International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) and suspected of repeated fraudulent activity.

New Delhi: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), which comes under the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, on Sunday announced a call for Quantum Lab proposals to boost local R&D. For the proposal titled ‘Quantum Standardisation and Testing Labs’, the DoT has invited submissions from Indian academic institutions or R&D institutions, either individually or in
