Kailash Gehlot resigned as Delhi minister and Aam Aadmi Party. After his resignation, there were discussions on who would be in charge of Kailash Gehlot’s department. CM Atishi issued a major update in this regard. All departments of Kailash Gehlot will be retained by Chief Minister Atishi. Chief Minister Atishi has sent the proposal to the LG.
Let us tell you that Kailash Gehlot is the Transport, Finance and Revenue Minister in the Delhi government. He represents Najafgarh constituency and is a member of the Aam Aadmi Party and a member of the 6th Legislative Assembly of Delhi since February 1, 2015.
Let us tell you that in a blow to AAP, senior leader and Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot left the party on Sunday. Gehlot, a prominent figure in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), mentioned in his resignation letter the recent controversies and unfulfilled promises faced by the party.
Kailash Gehlot had this to say after resigning
Gehlot, MLA from Najafgarh, in a letter to Chief Minister Atish, tendered his resignation from the Council of Ministers with immediate effect. In another letter to AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal shared on Twitter, Gehlot also resigned as a leading member of the party.
Gehlot claimed that the party was facing “awkward and bizarre” controversies such as “Sheeshmahal”, referring to Kejriwal’s ancestral home. He claimed that instead of fighting for people’s rights, AAP was busy fighting for its own agenda, which had paralyzed the delivery of essential services in Delhi.
