Surya takes rest
Suryakumar Yadav is on a two-week break due to family engagements. The Mumbai Cricket Association has been informed that Mumbai will not be able to participate in the initial tournament. He will now return from the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Andhra in Mumbai on December 3. There is little hope of Surya taking over as captain in this match and Shriyas Iyer will continue as captain. Surya hopes to play in all formats for Mumbai. After the remaining matches of the Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he will also participate in the Vijay Hazare Trophy starting on December 21.
Played all three formats for India
Suryakumar Yadav has played for India in all three formats of international cricket. He has scored 773 runs in 37 ODIs for India and 2570 runs in 78 T20 internationals. He also played one Test match for the team. He has four centuries to his name in all three formats.
