Sunil Pandey has the image of a domineering leader
Sunil Pandey has the image of Baahubali and at the age of 34, he became MLA for the first time by winning the 2000 assembly elections. In the year 2000, he won the election from Piro for the first time on Samata Party ticket. After that, he won the same seat in the by-elections held in February 2005 and October 2005. In 2010, Sunil Pandey won the elections from Tarari on JDU ticket. In 2015, JDU distanced itself from him in view of the criminal cases against him when Nitish Kumar was with the Grand Alliance.

In 2015, Sunil Pandey’s wife Geeta Pandey contested the elections from Tarari on LJP ticket but had to face defeat. In the 2020 assembly elections, Sunil Pandey contested as an independent candidate and stood second. Kaushal Vidyarthi of BJP came third in this election and Sudama Prasad won. Now Sudama Prasad Ara has gone to Parliament after winning the Lok Sabha seat and assembly by-election is to be held on Tarari seat.

After the public murder of BJP leader in Patna, ‘good governance’ government under question

good days of bahubalis
The thing to note is that these days good days are going on for the Bahubalis in Bihar. Recently, former MLA Anant Singh was acquitted by the High Court and now Sunil Pandey has entered BJP. The strategy with which NDA and especially BJP seems to be moving forward in Bihar is showing that the board of 2025 assembly elections will once again be decorated with strongmen.

At present, everyone is waiting for the announcement of Tarari Assembly by-election and Sunil Pandey’s son Vishal Prashant being made the candidate there. However, for Sunil Pandey this match will be like a double fight. On one hand, he will have to face his opponents in the elections, while on the other hand, the possibility of factionalism by the section in BJP which is opposing his entry will also be a challenge.
