Which became a period for the students studying here. Two girl students died due to drowning in the water filled basement, whose bodies have been recovered. At the same time, one student is still missing.

On the incident of Rao Coaching Center sinking, Delhi Education Minister Atishi said that the fire service and NDRF are deployed on the spot. Delhi Mayor and local MLA are also on the spot. I am monitoring the situation closely. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the accident. Whoever is responsible for this accident will not be spared.

After all, how did the coaching basement get filled with water?
The question arises that how did the coaching center get filled with so much water that it led to drowning of the students? Eyewitnesses have given surprising statements regarding this. According to the eyewitness student, about 30-35 students were present in the library built in the basement. As soon as we came out after the library closed at 7 pm, water was coming from the front with very high pressure. By the time we vacated the library, it was knee-deep in water.

Waterlogging reached the roof in just 2 to 3 minutes
The flow was so strong that we were not able to climb the stairs. Within 2-3 minutes the entire basement was filled with 10-12 feet of water. Ropes were thrown to get out of there, but the water was so dirty that nothing could be seen. Children were being taken out from there one by one. The student said that there were two more girls behind me. Which could not come out.

The water was filling so fast that within 2 to 3 minutes the entire basement up to the ceiling was filled with water. The ceiling height of the basement is up to 12 feet and in the blink of an eye it was filled with water like a flash flood. A rope was thrown to save us, but we could not see the ropes in the dirty water.

The accident happened at 7 pm
Eyewitness said that this accident happened at 7 pm. There has been water logging here before too, about a week ago it was filled with water so we were stopped at the top itself. The situation of water logging is such that many times our classes are cancelled, it remains filled with water for 2 to 2.5 hours. Last time when we were taking class, we were not allowed to go to the basement at around 10 in the morning, the cars of many students were floating.

Delhi Mayor Shaili Oberoi has said regarding this accident that due to the bursting of a drain or sewer, a flood-like situation has arisen in the basement. He said that, if any mistake of any MCD officer comes to light, strict action will be taken.
