Stock market crash: Market stampede… Sensex falls 930 points, these 10 stocks shatter, shock loss of Rs 851 crore

The stock market is down sharply today. The BSE Sensex fell 930 points to close at 80,220 points; the Nifty 50 index fell 310 points or 1.25% to close at 24,472 points. Meanwhile, Nifty Bank also fell over 700 points. Among the top 30 stocks on BSE Sensex, ICICI Bank stock is in the green zone. The remaining 29 stocks are all on interest rate alert. Among them, the biggest decliner was Mahindra & Mahindra shares (M&M Share), which fell 3.29%.

Stocks such as JSW Steel, Bajaj Finance, L&T, Maruti Suzuki, IndusInd Bank, Tata Motors, SBI and others fell around 3%. Of the 2,825 shares on the NSE, 299 advanced and 2,466 declined sharply. 60 shares remained unchanged. 48 stocks hit new 52-week highs and 150 stocks hit new 52-week lows. There are 49 shares in the upper loop and 309 shares in the lower loop.

These industries suffered larger declines
Stocks in sectors ranging from Nifty Bank to healthcare saw heavy losses today. PSU banks fell 4.47%. The decline was more severe among small-cap and mid-cap stocks. BSE Small Cap fell by 2,186.12 points while BSE Midcap fell by 1,214.83 points.

These 10 stocks are getting smashed

  • Shares of Vardhman Holdings fell 14.22% to close at Rs 4,549.90 per share today.
  • GRSE shares fell 12.34% to Rs 1,581.65.
  • Amber Enterprises India shares closed at Rs 5,627.05, down 11.31%.
  • Shares of Jana Small Finance Bank also fell 11% to close at Rs 457.50.
  • Shares of Mazgaon Dock Shipyard fell 10% to close at Rs 4,206 today.
  • Supreme Industries shares fell 10.48% to close at Rs 4,485.
  • Mangalore Refinery shares closed at Rs 147, down 7%.
  • SJVN shares also fell 7%. NLC India shares fell 6.77%.
  • Meanwhile, PNB shares also fell 7% to close at Rs 95.

Investors lost Rs 851 crore
As the stock market fell sharply, investors suffered huge losses in wealth. Most investors’ portfolios are in the red zone. The BSE market capitalization fell by Rs 85,10,000 from Rs 4,536,502,374 crore to Rs 4,45,13,502,000.
