There has been a big decline in the Indian stock market amid the fear of recession in America. Many big stocks have fallen by up to 5 percent. The value of Maruti Suzuki shares is more than Rs 12,000, it has fallen by 5 percent and it has fallen the most among the top 30 stocks of BSE Sensex.

There was a huge fall in the American stock market on Thursday, the effect of which was also seen in the Indian stock market today i.e. on Friday. Sensex fell 885.60 points or 1.08% to close at 80,981.95. Talking about Nifty50, it fell by 293.20 points and closed at 24,717.70 level. Whereas its lowest level of the day was 24,686.85 level.

Let us tell you that Sensex fell by 631 points and opened at 81235 level, while Nifty50 fell by 227 points and opened at 24,783. On Thursday, Sensex closed at 81,867.55, while Nifty closed above 25000 points.

Investors lost Rs 4.56 lakh crore
Due to the huge fall in Sensex, the market cap of BSE declined by Rs 4.56 lakh crore to Rs 457.06 lakh crore on Friday. In such a situation, it can be said that the valuation of investors under BSE decreased by Rs 4.56 lakh crore on Friday.

What happened in America that caused the market to fall?
In fact, there has been a big decline in the manufacturing PMI data in America, which is indicating that there may be a recession in America. Besides, there has also been a record increase in the number of unemployed, which has directly impacted the American market. At the same time, the crisis has deepened due to the announcement of layoffs in the IT sector, due to which the global IT sector is also under huge pressure.

There was a sharp decline in these big stocks
Among the top 30 stocks of BSE Sensex, the biggest decline has come in the shares of Maruti Suzuki. It fell 4.63 percent on Friday and closed at Rs 12730.95. Tata Motors Share fell 4.17 percent today and closed at Rs 1096.90. Shares of JSW Steel closed down by about 4 percent and Tata Steel closed down by 3 percent. After this, L&T shares have declined by 3 percent. Out of total 30 shares, 25 shares declined and the remaining five shares were marginally up.
