The first song sung 50 years ago
About 50 years ago, in 1974, Sharda Sinha sang the first Bhojpuri song. But his struggle has continued since then. Then in 1978, he sang the Chhath song “Ug Ho Suruj Dev”. The song became a record hit and Sharda Sinha and Chhath Parv have complemented each other ever since. This song, sung some 46 years ago, can still be heard in Chhath Ghats.
