Sridhar Vembu announced on Monday, January 27, that he has resigned as CEO of Zoho Corp. Sridhar Vembu said in a post on X that he will take on the new role of “chief scientist” at the company.
Sridhar Vembu also revealed the name of the new CEO of Zoho Corp and said, “Our co-founder Shailesh Kumar Davey will be our new group CEO.”
He said: “A new chapter begins today. Considering the various challenges and opportunities we face, including recent significant developments in artificial intelligence, I have decided that it would be best to focus all my time on R&D initiatives while pursuing my personal rural development mission. I will step down from my role as CEO of Zoho Corp and assume a new role as chief scientist, responsible for in-depth research and development initiatives.”
