Spirit, color and fragrance… Fake liquor factory busted after STF raid in Noida, 4 arrested

The Noida unit of Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) on Monday busted a factory manufacturing fake ‘desi’ liquor. During this period four people were arrested. According to the agency, a senior STF officer said that during the raid in Surajpur police station area, a huge quantity of liquor was recovered from the accused.

According to officials, during interrogation, the accused told the police that they used to sell adulterated liquor at low prices through ‘salesmen’ working at liquor shops in many districts of the state. Noida STF Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Mishra said that the accused earlier used to run a factory for manufacturing illegal liquor in Bulandshahr district.

4 accused arrested

Rajkumar Mishra said that the police had received information that a factory for manufacturing adulterated liquor was running in C Block of the site of Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) in Surajpur. He said that a raid was conducted and four people named Kamal, Nikhil Soni, Amit Yadav and Govind Chaurasia, all residents of Kanpur, were arrested from the spot.

He further said that during interrogation, the police came to know that the accused used to purchase 100 percent alcohol/spirit from Rampur district and mix water, color and essence in it.

Noida STF Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Mishra said, “54 boxes of country liquor bags of various brands, 16 ATM cards, company holograms, one drum of 100 per cent alcohol/spirit, one drum of adulterated country liquor and one Auto rickshaw and other items have been recovered.”
