October 26, 2024: Tom Holland will return to Spider-Man in a new, as-yet-untitled sequel on July 24, 2026. The fourth installment in Holland’s Spider-Man series will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, best known for his role in “Spider-Man.” His work “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”.

Holland recently expressed his enthusiasm for the project on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” confirming that production will begin in mid-2025. He said: “Next summer, we start filming. It’s going great – we’re almost there. It’s super exciting. I can’t wait!”
While plot details are currently being kept under wraps, Holland hinted at the film’s unique direction, describing the concept as “crazy” and different from previous installments. He added: “It’s a little different to everything we’ve done before but I think the fans will really respond to it.”

The upcoming Spider-Man movie will follow Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released on May 1, 2026, suggesting that storylines in the Marvel Cinematic Universe may be interconnected.
As of now, Tom Holland is the only confirmed cast member. There has been speculation that other characters will return, such as Zendaya’s MJ, but no official announcement has been made.
Fans can expect the new film to be a fresh take on Spider-Man’s adventures, especially an introduction to director Destin Daniel Cretton’s vision for the series.
